MARIO ROSSI BAND Brazilian Blues Rock — São Paulo, Brazil

Mario Rossi Band is a Brazilian blues rock power trio led by guitarist and vocalist Mario Rossi. Rooted in the British blues-rock tradition of the late 1960s and early 1970s, the band combines expressive guitar work, soulful vocals and the raw energy of a classic power trio with a contemporary identity of its own.

Mario Rossi began his professional musical journey in 2004, developing his style through years of live performance and a deep connection with the blues and classic rock. His influences include John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Eric Clapton, Cream, B.B. King, Peter Green, Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix and Alvin Lee, among others.

A significant chapter in Rossi's career came through his work with American bluesman John Primer in Brazil in 2013 and 2015. The experience included performances across southern and southeastern Brazil, as well as an appearance on the Brazilian television program The Noite com Danilo Gentili. Rossi has also performed in the United States, sharing stages and jam sessions with respected musicians from the New York blues scene.

In 2019, Mario Rossi Band released Electric Art, the first of a series of original studio albums. It was followed by The Same Old Street (2020), Heavy (2021), Smoke Burst (2023) and Steels (2025), establishing a consistent body of work built around original songwriting, expressive guitar playing and a strong commitment to organic sound.

The band's music has received international recognition from blues and rock publications, radio stations and independent media across Europe, North America and beyond. Smoke Burst was ranked No. 8 among the 50 Best Blues Releases of 2023 by the U.S.-based Roots Music Report, while Steels marked the band's first release through an international record label, Golden Robot Entertainment of Australia.

Today, Mario Rossi Band performs as a power trio with Mario Rossi (guitar and vocals), Rafael Cacavallo (drums) and Bruno Vallim (bass). In 2026, the band presented UK Time Live, an intimate live session recorded in São Paulo in response to the growing support from audiences in the United Kingdom and the band's increasing recognition in the British and international music press. The project captures the band's music in its most natural environment: loud, spontaneous and driven by the chemistry between three musicians.

From Brazil to the UK and beyond, Mario Rossi Band continues to build its own chapter in the enduring story of blues and classic rock.
